Selfies of 2015 layout

Hi all,

A bit late in making and posting this but here's a layout I made using selfies Nathan and I took in 2015. I could have done one of those 'year in review' things but in all honesty I find them a bit cheesy!
I was going to do a little card for each one and stick them all on a layout. But I thought that might look too uniform (and the colours might not have matched up), so I stopped overthinking it, laid my pictures out on some paper with a small pattern on it (Pink Paislee Cedar Lane), and a few choice embellishments in black, with a hint of pink, blue and green like in my pictures. I did have a big Project Life card in the top but it just looked a bit odd so I took it off, I think the empty space works on this layout.

Thanks for stopping by!

A trip to London!

Went to London over the weekend so all my crafty efforts have been supply-gathering and photo-taking!
It's been a lot of fun but it's all gone by so quickly *sniff*

Went to the big Paperchase on Tottenham Court Road and picked up some stamps and embellishments and tape and most of all, finally... a border punch! YAY!

We called at Cambridge on the way home and TKMaxx have My Mind's Eye scrapbook kits in for £8 so I chose the pink and blue one....
As well as 16 sheets of cardstock there are several embellishments with it, stickers and these neat little postcards...
This one's my favourite! May have to base a layout around my 4'11"-ness!

Around London we spotted lots of Shaun the Sheeps. All decorated differently. This one was in St James Park.

And a nice lady took this photo of Nathan and I with our ice cream.
Why did I not have the decency to keep my eyes open...?!

Also came home to a Papermania Botanicals die cut & paper pack as a subscription gift for Creativity magazine. I wanted that a year ago and never found it. Now I have it, and it's gorgeous.
Scrapbook Magazine also sent me some goodies. I mentioned to them that the paper in the latest issue was all pixelated, plus I was supposed to get something for having my letter published in the last issue. So nice of them to send me such lovely things and I can't wait to use them. Been after some stencils for a while, too! As they say, if you don't ask, you don't get..

(I wrote this blog on Monday but thought a vlog would work better... It didn't, so I'm posting the written version instead.)

Hi everyone,
Been getting back into scrapping this week. I haven't been anywhere really to take pictures this month, but I printed off the few I did take and die cut them into hexagon shapes. I'm starting a new scrapbook and I thought this made a great page to start off the year.

Backing paper - DCWV Gilded Paper (this has been so useful to me, so glad I won it!)
Metallic blue spray ink
Xcut hexagon dies
Papermania coloured paper and buttons
Various patterned papers (some are Studio Calico Darling Dear)
The Works accordion flower and wooden embellishment
Hot Off The Press feather die (I bought Simply Cards & Papercraft just to get this die! Haha)

I took this to show some new goodies I've bought. The scrapbook was from my grandparents for Christmas but though I chose it myself, it's turned out to be too small width-wise, so it's going to be a sketchbook instead.
I also went to The Works last weekend they have Papermania paper packs really cheap so I topped up my stash. I've also ordered bits off ebay.

In other news, I went to London yesterday with Nathan. I bought a new scrapbook from the Paperchase in Covent Garden. It's PERFECT! Here it is along with a couple books I bought.
