Happiness || Scrapbook Layout || Cocoa Vanilla Studio 'Wild At Heart'

Hi all,

I have a layout to share today using the Wild At Heart collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio, as well at the Gypsy Gypsy paper pad by Craft Consortium.

I chose to use a generic selfie of Nathan and I. I noticed there is a little green in the photo which perfectly matched this butterfly print paper.

I wanted to find a new way of using chipboard frames so I cut squares of watercolour print paper and squares of rub ons and then stuck the frames on top.
Of course I had to use gesso and the packaging technique on the background too.

23 || Scrapbook Layout || Maggie Holmes 'Carousel'

Hi all..

May I present my favourite scrapbook layout EVER?!

We took these cute selfies in York on my birthday... I chose my three favourites for this page. I used the same filter on all of them so they all had this lovely golden hue.

I used the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes 'Carousel' collection for this page.... I loved layering the ephemera together. The backing paper is from the Maggie Holmes 'Shine' paper pad.
There's a little bit of mixed media on the background and I made this using gesso and the packaging technique with watercolours.

Hands up if you can spy the little Pusheen!

Life Is So Sweet || Scrapbook Layout || Crate Paper Carousel

Hi all,

I've been trying to catch up on my scrapbooking before a) I start my new job and b) Christmas crafting begins.

Here is a layout using the Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes 'Carousel' collection.

I loved the background paper and wasn't sure how to use it, but then I decided to fill the negative space with my photo and the gorgeous ephemera.

Secret Garden || Scrapbook Layout

Hi all,

I have a little story to tell you today.
It all started one weekend when I was experiencing Anxiety.
I am so much better than I used to be but sometimes life makes you overthink and then diminishes any creativity. So I was in my craft room at a loss...
Then my parents walked in and said they wanted to craft with me.
I nearly cried!

Mum was sat on the floor next to me cutting out bits of wallpaper like she did when she was young (in the 50s and 60s there were no scrapbook supplies, so they had to cut bits out of magazines and newspapers) , and dad was laid on the floor reading. We had coffee and biscuits and it was lovely.

Here's what I started making that evening and finished off the next day. It's using mostly Maggie Holmes' 'Shine' & 'Bloom' collections. The picture is of me (wow!) a few weeks ago when I had a photography morning with my dad at the local garden centre. They have show gardens there and I was sitting looking at all the tadpoles in the pond, and dad took my picture.

Here's Ma & Pa keeping me company <3

You & Me || Scrapbook Layout || Pebbles/Jen Hadfield 'Simple Life'

Happy Saturday!

Good news - I have finally finished scrapping my Edinburgh photos! This is the last layout and we took the selfie while we were waiting for food to arrive in the Slug & Lettuce. I don't know why I'm looking over --->. Perhaps I wasn't ready. Who knows?

I mostly used the Pebbles/Jen Hadfield 'Simple Life' collection here - I have the 6x6" paper pad and the printed wood veneer - as you may know I'm always on the lookout for something a little bit different and these definitely fit the bill. The rose on the left is fussy cut from the paper pad.

The backing paper is from Maggie Holmes 'Shine' and I added gesso and used the packaging technique with some teal gelato.

The other elements in the layout are mostly OneCanoeTwo 'Hazelwood'.

Hello 2016 Layout

Hi all,

I spent New Year with Nathan and our dear friend Sam, who had come down for Christmas (he's at uni in Newcastle).
I have made a layout with the many selfies I took using the November/December Embellishment Quirky Kit. The paper is Maggie Holmes 'Shine' and I believe it's called Dazzle. It's an extra with the Quirky Kit - I had been saving it but then I realised the pictures match the paper and it looked fab!
