Playing With Pinkfresh Studio 'Felicity'

Hi all,

Apologies for my absence, I was in Chester with Nathan for our anniversary.
We stayed at Cheshire Oaks, we like to stay somewhere where there's somewhere to wander around at night.
It took us four hours to get there, on the M62 it said 'long delays' so we kept going... for it to say it was then closed so we had to take a detour between Huddersfield and Oldham... a pretty scary experience, Google Maps was taking us on these roads wide enough for one car, down these massive hills (by that, I mean in first gear with the clutch down and controlling it with the brake... it was still going 20mph!)...but we got there eventually, unscathed!
Anyway, we spent the rest of the day in Chester, then the next day, our anniversary, we spent at the zoo and then went on to see The Secret Life Of Pets (really good!) and had dinner at Wagamama. I had duck for the first time and it was delicious.

Anyway, on to my layout. I used a selfie we took in the hotel once we had got ready for our evening out.

A few weeks ago I saw a bundle of Pinkfresh Studio 'Felicity' goodies on a selling page on facebook, a 6x6 paper pack, washi stickers, ephemera and some little sequins for £10 so I pounced... and kept the set for this layout (and another that I made today - stay tuned!).

The backing paper is from the September Skies ppad by Heidi Swapp. This layout is mounted onto another sheet of paper but it photographed odd so I cropped it out.

Thanks for stopping by!

Date Night Scrapbook Layout

Hi all
Now I'm done with commissions for the moment, I set aside to do some scrapping for myself.
A couple of weeks ago, Nathan and I went to Manchester to celebrate being together for 5 years. We went for dinner at Wagamama and then saw Jurassic World.

The title is made with plain Thickers, I love these because you can decorate them however you wish. For this I just coloured them with a metallic Sharpie.

I made a little pocket to put train and cinema tickets in. I die cut a tag, then from the same paper cut a rectangle and wrapped it around the tag to hold the tickets. I used double sided tap on the black paper around the tag so it wouldn't fall through.

Until next time...!

Steampunk Anniversary Card

Hi all

I'm back to share the anniversary card I've made for my boyfriend - we have been together 5 years! He likes steampunk so I incorporated that theme into my card with black and gold embellishments for a classy feel.

To celebrate we spent a couple days in Manchester - went out for dinner, saw Jurassic World (fantastic!), and explored. Would have explored more if the rain wasn't so bad! Also because of the rain there are a grand total of four pictures on my camera and they're all silly ones of Nathan. I took a few more on my phone, think I can manage one layout from this.. haha.
Here we are all dressed up for our meal at Wagamama!

Made some cards!

Been card making this week.

Seeing as it's my auntie's 60th birthday next month I wanted to make her a big, bright, fun card.
Because the card I'm using is A5-ish size, I chose 8x8 paper instead of the 6x6 I normally go for, and the First Edition Neroli paper pad was perfect for this project. My 8x8 papers don't get used very much but I think I'll have to change that!
The shaker element was made with plastic packaging taped together. I initially used glue but that just made a mess... the sequins are from Poundland, and there's a good variety of different shapes like flowers and stars, not just plain circles, which is nice.

The next card is for my aunt and uncle's Ruby Wedding. I used a shaker element again because I love sequins.

And a final birthday card using the Papermania Botanicals collection.

Made some cards!

Been busy this week, sent my first docrafts magazine commission off yesterday (eeeee!), but I spent this morning making some family cards.
This first one is for my grandparents' wedding anniversary.
Using the Papermania Botanicals collection.

This second one is for my dad's cousin who has just had a baby boy.
Using the Papermania Pastel Craft collection.

This afternoon I am making chilli for eight people.
Need to find the number for emergency takeout.... Haha!

On Saturday it was mine and Nathan's 4-year anniversary! I KNOW. We went to The Deep and it was FANTASTIC. Printed off my favourite snaps and made an anniversary page and an aquarium page using my new Grace Taylor scrapbook kit! The colours are so lovely!
