On Fleek || Scrapbook Layout || Dovecraft 'Kiss & Make Up'

Hi all,

I have a scrapbook layout to share today using the Dovecraft 'Kiss & Make Up' collection by Trimcraft.

I know it may seem narcissistic to use selfies on scrapbook layouts but this collection really lends itself to scrapping selfies.

This layout got a bit messy, I made the mistake of spattering drawing ink onto the page and it went everywhere and looks a bit messy. I'm not that happy with it but sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

I made this layout as part of the National Scrapbook Day challenges over on the 'For The Love Of Pretty Paper' group on Facebook, the challenge was to make a layout based on this sketch, designed by Laura Rumble for UK Scrap Addicts:

The challenge has ended now but there is no reason why you can't use this sketch for inspiration anyway.

Fly || Scrapbook Layout || Simply Creative 'Chalkboard'

Hi all,

I have a layout to share today using the Simply Creative 'Chalkboard' papers from Trimcraft, along with a little mixed media in the form of yellow watercolour paint.

The photograph is of some waxwings that spent a few days in the area at the beginning of February. It's a bit of an 'out-take' shot but I really like it, how the camera captured details like the birds' feet and yellow tails, but blurred some of the wings.

Introducing Simply Creative Around The World! || A London Scrapbook Layout

Hello!

This week I received my Trimcraft DT Kit, featuring all the new paper releases. There are six new Simply Creative paper pad designs and two from First Edition. I will be very busy over Christmas!

I have a new layout to share today using one of the new Simply Creative paper pads. This one is called Around The World and as you can tell it's all very travel-themed so perfect for documenting your trips at home and abroad.

This layout uses a picture I took in London earlier this month. Nathan and I always have a walk by the Thames whenever we are in London; we love to explore all the little shops and galleries and of course call into one of the FOUR Wagamama restaurants along the route. (I have since noted their locations all down on the map we use...!)

To find out how I made this, head over to my Trimcraft gallery (LINK)

I apologise for not posting much of late - I have been busy with my December Daily album and I'm loving putting it together. I will do a video walkthrough once it is complete!

Now, I have some more projects to make and then I should probably think about packing as we are going to be spending Christmas in Liverpool... exciting stuff!

Thanks for stopping by!

More Kori Kumi Cards!

Hi all,

More cards to share today using the Santoro Kori Kumi collection from Craft Consortium.

This first one uses a stamped image and pom-poms on an aperture card.

I cut apart the little tag that was on the 8x8" paper pack and put a shaker element in the centre.

And finally a neutral one.. I was inspired by the presenter on Hochanda when this collection was being shown. He said this collection would look good in neutral tones and look all vintage... so I had a play using my watercolours. The flower die set in this collection is so good, I'm obsessed with it.

Docrafts Design Team Blog Hop July 2015

Hi all

The theme for this blog hop is makes with interactive elements.  I've made a shaker card using Gorjuss decoupage.

I made two circles of clear plastic packaging the same size as the frame on the decoupage, filled it with tiny stars, stuck onto the background of the decoupage. I made up the rest of the decoupage and stuck it on top. (FYI, the tiny stars are from Fred Aldous in Manchester)

Don't forget to check out the blogs of my fellow members!

Thanks for hopping by!

More docrafts makes, plus I wrote a poem...

Hi everyone!
I've a lot of unfinished projects at the moment -
So instead of getting on with them, I wrote a poem...

Some of my makes for docrafts are live on their site now,

The first are some adorable little pillow gift boxes using this download with the Papermania Little Meow Collection.

The second thing is a piece I'm really proud of - a scrapbook page I made for my trial for the Design Team. I was sent basic supplies, coloured paper and a paperclip die set. All my ideas for this brief focused on colour and I'd always wanted to use this ferris wheel photo in a layout.

This 8x8" page is made using the Feeling Fruity? download, a lovely summery collection.

The last is a card using the Thread Effect  download, blue and brown patterns that work great with the Craft Collection Pastels products.

Find out more about my makes in my docrafts gallery

Today I am going into town and to the Range with my fella. Hopefully I can find that neon cardstock I mentioned in the video! Haha

Oh, and an update on the Chilli situation from last weekend.
I can happily report that it was the best chilli I'd ever made and my family loved it!
