Go See Do || Scrapbook Layout

Hi all,

I have a layout to share today that involves the Mini...  but not mine, for once!
Back in June I went to a classic car show with my parents. It was the hottest day of the year, 35 degrees in the shade so sadly I didn't take many pictures as I felt like passing out most of the day! Of course I had to take pictures of the Minis though...

I mostly used the Shimelle 'Starshine' collection here. The backing paper is one I've been hoarding for a few years, it's by Sei. I got it in a surprise bargain box and it's got a gorgeous green foil on it.

A Mini Adventure || Scrapbook Layout || First Edition Black Out

Hi all,

I have a new layout to share today using the First Edition 'Black Out' paper pads from Trimcraft. It's really easy to make, it just uses strips of patterned paper.

The picture is of me and my beloved Nancy-Doris on top of the hill outside Staithes on the way back from a trip to Whitby.

To find out more about how I made this layout, head over to my Trimcraft gallery! (LINK)

Pimp My Ride!

Hi all,

A new layout to share today.

As some of you may know I passed my driving test 3 days before Christmas and I told myself when I did I would order some graphics and new wheel trims for my car.
So I did, and a couple weeks ago my dad and I 'pimped my ride'.
Afterwards we took it for a ride out to a garden centre where we knew there was some space at the back of the car park where we could take some pictures with a decent background.
I made a layout using the pictures I took.

The background paper is by My Mind's Eye, it was one double side sheet which I cut into two and flipped one side over and stuck both onto a 12x12" sheet of plain paper. I went along the edges of each black stripe with my silver Sharpie so it looks like the stripes on my car.

Just need the weather to clear up now so I can take her on some trips out!

Driving Test Layout (Using November/December Quirky Kit)

Hi all (and a very Happy New Year!)

I took a cheeky break from a commission I'm on with (there is such a thing as too much stamping...!) to do something for myself.

In December my first Quirky Kit arrived. I did a blog post about what was in it here. But, with one thing and another I never got around to making a full layout using it.

But now, I thought I'd make something using a picture my driving instructor took of me with her car when I passed my test a couple of weeks ago, along with a little note my dad left for me on the day of my test.

My favourite thing about the kit was the colour scheme so I picked some papers from my stash that matched... plus my last sheet of paper with Minis on...

Right, on with my last commission piece...
Until next time...!

Mini Layout

Hi all

A new layout today! Here's my car :)

This is one of my heaviest layouts - I'm trying to get away from my fear of using lots of layers of paper... and it's worked so well.
You know how sometimes there's things in your stash that are so lovely you keep them for the perfect occasion?
That postcard is perfect. It's even got 'Mini' on it!
And also applies to me because I'm tiny.
I coloured the word 'mini' in and framed it to emphasise it as a page title.

The same goes for the First Edition Man Made Mini print paper. It's been in my stash for years and I finally got to use it!

Papers and embellishments are mostly My Mind's Eye Cut & Paste.

Anyway, until next time...!
