Black and Gold || 9x12" Scrapbook Layout || StickerKitten 'Bee Garden'

Hello!

Today I have a layout to share using the Bee Garden collection by StickerKitten.

Last summer I took lots of pictures of the bees in our garden and they are perfect to use with this collection.
The stamps in the collection are so gorgeous and I just had to try some heat embossing with them.

The stencil is by Prima and I used it with some Nuvo embellishment mousse.

Here's what is in the collection. You can find it HERE.
I'm so in love with the sequins!

Thanks for stopping by!

Liverpool || A4 Scrapbook Layout || Simply Creative 'Around The World'

Hi all

I have a layout to share today using the Simply Creative 'Around The World' papers by Trimcraft.

I printed my photo off at A5 width and trimmed the edges so it was slightly smaller than the page.

On the background I die cut a pattern (using a First Edition background die) and then used it as a stencil, spraying ink through it and then removing the die cut to reveal the pattern underneath.

To find out more how I made this, head over to my Trimcraft gallery...! (link)

Best Day Ever! Layout Using Spray Inks

Hi all,

A new layout to share today using spray inks on the background.

On this layout I used some selfies of Nathan and I that I took on my birthday, we were in York in the Museum Gardens by the ruins and Nathan kept hiding in my hair cause he doesn't like his picture taken. Cutie.

Anyway, to make the background I had some hearts that I had die cut for another layout and so I arranged them on a sheet of white cardstock. When I was happy I used a little blu-tack to hold them in place and then I sprayed the centre of the page with spray inks. I gave it a minute to dry and then removed the hearts.

I did some stitching on this layout, I can't resist the sewing machine any more... I stitched in pink and purple around the page, through some of the heart shapes and through some washi tape in the corners. The hearts that I had used as stencils I kept a few of and I stitched them on too.

The wood veneer 'best day ever' is coloured with Gelatos. I think the layout looks better without too many embellishments but I did use these bright stickers by Heidi Swapp, they are more 'me' than anything in my stash but they had been in my stash for so long but this was the perfect layout to use them on.

I made this layout for my submission for the Hip Kit Club DT Call... wish me luck!

Beach Layout "Together"

Hi all,

A new layout to share today.
My May/June Quirky Kit arrived yesterday and one of the 'extras' I ordered was an 8x8" printed acetate sheet. It worked brilliantly with the ombre paper (by Webster's Pages).
The picture was taken by Nathan's dad on the beach in Spain - Nathan and I were sitting by the shore so we could go in the sea and paddle - I had no idea he'd taken the picture until it appeared on Facebook the week after but I love this picture so much and I had to scrap it.

Originally I didn't have any of the mixed media stuff going on in the background but I felt it looked too plain so I took everything off the layout and added some modelling paste. I graduated it to match the ombre paper, white at the top and then more green towards the bottom. I did this by scraping a little gelato into the paste and mixing it in.

Another Autumn Layout

Hi all,

Here's an autumn layout I have made.
The picture was taken at Walkers Nurseries in Doncaster. There is a show garden there and this beautiful bridge is just outside the cafe. (Nice cafe, too...). The colours this time of year are beautiful, and I picked out the orange and pink and used those colours in my layout.

Speaking of beautiful.. the title is created using gel medium.
I bought it to try out some image transfer. But after watching videos on Youtube, I still can't get it to work so instead I looked at other ways to use gel medium.
So I grabbed a stencil, put the medium onto it, let it dry and sprayed ink onto my desk-saver and added water and painted a wash over the stencilled area.

A(nother) Selfie Layout

Hi all! Hope you've had a good weekend.

Been trying to think outside the box a bit more with my scrapping lately. Here's the background I came up with, using watercolour pencils on a stencil and outlining them with watercolour pens.
I ripped it, and layered it onto foiled paper (you can't tell from the photo..) and then onto plain teal paper. Colours I wouldn't normally use (orange is my least favourite) but it felt right using them so I just went with it.

So the other day I went for a walk to the retail park with my better half.. I couldn't waste one of the last warm days we'll get this year. I picked up these fab My Mind's Eye goodies in TKMaxx.

I couldn't wait to use them on a layout.
So I take a lot of selfies with my fella. What of it? At least then I've always got something to scrap...

One thing I'll say is that I shouldn't have stuck those flowers on with a glue gun... in retrospect I should've left them out and added more stencilled triangles instead. Ah well.

Until next time...!
